Initially I liked this phone, which was an extra birthday present from my husband and daughter.  The camera although low mega pixels takes quite good photos. The large display screen with choice of font sizes is useful as is the slide cover, which protects the keypad.  Some of the features are also quite good especially pressing one key to make the phone silent, which is very handy.

Before this phone I have always had Nokias because I found them to be the most user friendly however, I managed to work out all the menu’s quite quickly with the help of the manual but you do have to go through several more steps, press more keys, to achieve the same functions i.e. send a text or photo than you do on a Nokia.

The worst points about the phone are the poor battery life – sometimes it needed charging twice a day depending on phone use.  It takes a long time to charge as well.  The memory is almost non-existent – my daughter sent me two songs from her phone, which completely filled the memory, and then you cannot take any photos.  You have to buy a separate memory card and it is not apparent from the manual that this cannot be in excess of 2GB or it won’t work.  It also didn’t display photos sent from phones that are of a higher specification which isn’t helpful and despite trying both the Samsung and Tesco Mobile helplines there was no way around this.

Lastly, removing the back to change the sim card or battery was very difficult – neither my husband nor I could do it – only my daughter got the knack, which was rather embarrassing

All in all I have gone back to my Nokia!

LG have recently lauched numerous innovative models to impress the modern mobile phone users,and the LG KP500 Cookie Pink is just one of them.

So the LG KP500 Cookie Pink is a high end touch screen mobile phone. The shade of pink is a sort of cherry blossom. The screen as you might expect with a touch screen cell phone takes up a large proportion of the overall facia front. There are three buttons on the front, each of them are pink too. The surround to the screen is black, and the black and pink case look very attractive together. I can see this pink mobile will really catch the eye when you take it out and start using it. I can really see some jealous glances occuring.

The display auto-rotates which mean it adjusts so that you can read what is on the display whether you are holding it upright or on its side. This is a great feature and really means that the LG KP500 Cookie Pink is a high end cell phone. The other thing I like about this particular phone is the stylus pen that is embedded into the case. The stylus pen is particularly useful if you wish to work fast when navigating around the operating system.  Of course the main drawback of the stylus pen is that it can sometimes get lost, which from personal experience I know is particularly irritating.  Fortunately a quick trip to eBay to order replacements inexpensively will mean the problem, if you do experience it, will not be a long lasting one.

The phone has GPRS and EDGE functionality which should mean that you can browse the web on the fly without any particular difficulty. It does not however include 3G which means that it is not the complete solution.  Is this a critical lapse by LG.   I personally do not believe so.  I have had cell phones in the past which have not had 3G and cell phones which have and to be honest, on a day to day basis I can barely remember noticing whether the signal was 3G or otherwise.  Fo those of you who wish to have this information the complete list of functions that are included within this particular pink mobile are: Bluetooth 2.0, USB 2.0, 48 MB internal memory, microSD card slot, 3.15 megapixel digital camera, FM radio with RDS, music player (MP3/WMA/AAC formats), video player, (MPEG4/3GP formats), document viewer, T9 predictive text and loudspeaker / speaker phone.

The usability of this phone is great, which together with a pretty neat list of functions and  the fact that it is a particularly distinguished phone I have to say I love this pink mobile phone and recommend the LG KP500 Cookie Pink phone to you.  Overall I would give this mobile phone a score of:
